Critic’s Throw Down, from 3-5 pm, at Fisch Haus

Three prominent art critics are invited to to attend a slide show in which a series of controversial works is featured.  The critics are asked to react to the work in a ‘no holds barred’ manner;  hopefully to provoke further conversation, as well as to perhaps answer the common question about what constitutes artwork worthy of critical acclaim.  This year’s critics are Mike Odom, contributor to ArtForum and Art Papers, Tracy Abeln, editor of Review Magazine in Kansas City, and Dr. Royce Smith, Professor of Art History and Wichita State University.

Critics, Artists and Patron’s Dinner, at 7 pm, at Project.  Informal tour of all three venues begins after the CTD.  This is a ticketed event – please email rivercitybiennale@cox.net to make a reservation.
